Arcadium Lithium PLC (Livent)

Live Event Production and Visual Industrial Tour

Powering the Future

Livent, a North Carolina-based chemical manufacturing corporation, merged with another company, rolled out a new brand, and became the country's largest lithium-ion manufacturer. This video project supports this merger by featuring the new Livent supply-chain workforce that will benefit the clean energy economy. We collaborated with two other creative agencies to produce this series. The project visually showcases the chemical plant in Bessemer City, NC, while featuring Secretary Janet Yellen and North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper's highly anticipated remarks on what this merger means for the Inflation Reduction Act.

We developed the creative concept and recorded the live event assets. This production was a two-part shoot that required us to travel to the Livent industrial plant in Bessemer City, NC. For the first trip, we captured 4k b-roll and drone to support a video that would be played at the merger reveal conference the following week. The second trip required us to record Secretary of State Janet Yellen publicly addressing her remarks on green energy specific to EV cars and lithium production. This shoot relied on our expertise in live event coverage. We tracked Secretary Yellen, documentary-style, throughout the production facility on a tour. Our challenge was to visually showcase the new brand identity, the genuine diversity of staff and leadership, the existing culture, and the new culture that will sustain Livent (now Arcadium Lithium PLC) in the future.

We intended to create a direction centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the industry. Therefore, we captured diverse faces on screen to represent the gender balance of the modern workforce at Livent. We wanted to modernize the brand through production decisions. Overall, this environmental video project successfully focuses on Livent’s green energy sources specific to the EV industry, green conservation, the future workforce, sustainability, and products powered by lithium-ion batteries. The United States Department of the Treasury used the live deliverables on the department’s YouTube page.
